Data Capabilities:

We are one of a handful of facilities that can work with your native AutoCAD data and produce highly accurate parts. In fact, we prefer customer supplied AutoCAD data to gerber data, because it’s generally more accurate, and allows us to optimize the data for our processing.

There are a number of benefits to this. Your engineers and draftsmen only work with a single database during prototyping, development, and production, rather than trying to keep two (or more) databases synchronized. This is time and resource consuming, and may lead to discrepancies.

Of course we are happy to work with your in-house generated gerber data if you prefer.

Film Capabilities:

The single most critical tool for accurate manufacturing is the film tool. PC Specialties takes the time to ensure our reprographic equipment is accurate. Each member of our CAM department is trained to verify calibration.

Dimensionally: +/-.00025” over 24” maximum deviation.
Line width: +/-.0001”
Photoplot resolution: 4000 dpi standard, 8000 dpi for complex / fine features.

Photoplotter: Cymbolic Sciences Fire9670 at 4000 / 8000 dpi resolution.
Our dark room is a HEPA filtered clean room, with controlled temperature (70 degrees F) and humidity (50% rH).

We use only Kodak film and Chemistry, because we feel it gives superior and consistent results.
Our in-house calibration standards for phototools exceed OEM standards for dimension and feature width.
